Originally from Madrid, with an extensive experience in the events sector and with many concerns, César tells us about his hobbies, dreams, tastes and goals.
Although it was always clear to him that he wanted to work in the audiovisual sector, for economic reasons and the vicissitudes of the sector, he was forced to work in very different professions. However, when the opportunity to work in audiovisual editing came up, he jumped at the chance and joined the team.
He began his professional career at WORKOUT as an editor of audiovisual structures and little by little, proving his worth, he worked his way up to become coordinator of the audiovisual editing department. Let’s meet César!
Temporary Editor, Contract Editor and Coordinator of the Audiovisual Editing Department have been the positions you have held in these 2 years within WORKOUT… What do you consider to have been the strengths that have led you to achieve these promotions?
A: In a nutshell, I think the strengths most valued by WORKOUTfor my progress are:
- The effort and willingness I have had to solve any type of work required, both on the street and in the office.
- The commitment I have shown, both to the company and to my colleagues and clients.
- And a lot of perseverance.
Now that you are a coordinator, What is your next goal and how do you plan to achieve it?
A: The next objective, due to natural growth in the company, would be to become “Audiovisual Editor in Charge
I will achieve this without rushing, working as I have done so far, promoting teamwork and improving on the things that people think I need to improve in order to be a good leader.
I think that being responsible for a department requires the acquisition of qualities and skills that I still have to develop and demonstrate if I want to be an example for the team to follow.
On a professional level, What characteristics do you value most in the people around you?
A: I think the most important thing in the work environment is “FELLOWSHIP”. Feeling the support of your team, both in professional and personal situations provides stability, a good work environment and a desire to go to work.
Doing something you love once a day gives you the energy you need to do those things you don’t like so much. What gives you that energy in your life?
A: Having the stability to build a personal project with my partner, with more comfort and less uncertainty.
We want to know more about César. In one word How would you define your past, present and future?
- Past – mmm… “Hard”.
- Present – How difficult! But right now “Happy”.
- Future- “Surprise”, I don’t know what’s in store for me.
I say What does …mean to you?and you answer me with the first word that comes to your mind
- Commitment: “Loyalty”.
- Teamwork: “Results
- Living: “Opportunity”.
- Fellowship: Eh…! You got me, hahaha “Vital”.
- Success: “Fleeting””
- Punctuality: hahahaha, to be honest… HARD!
Which would you say is your … favorite?
- Series: The Walking Death
- Book: The Lord of the Rings
- Word: Unit
- Hobbies: Travel
- Music: Pop
- Artist or group: Estopa
Food: Cheese In all variations! haha
And to close with a flourish, What would be the slogan or phrase that most identifies you? And why?
A: The phrase that most identifies me would be the African proverb:
“If you want to get there fast walk alone, if you want to get far walk in a group.”
I believe that to achieve great things and to move projects forward it is necessary to have more heads thinking and supporting each other. If you work alone, eventually you will want to cover so much that you will not be able to. It is always necessary to have a team!
Cesar, thank you very much for letting us know more about you!
