Patricia Piña: “Responsible for the image hostesses and models department in Madrid”.

“I really value the experience I gained working as an image hostess, that’s why I appreciate the job and the people who work with us so much”.

Since the age of 16 Patricia has worked as a customer-facing image hostess. That is why he knows and is clear about the importance of this figure.

“Image hostesses seem to be the last link in an event, but they are really the most important. It is the first image that the client has of the event”.

Our head of the image department studied Tourism and a Postgraduate Degree in Events and Protocols. While studying, she worked as a model for photographers and as a hostess at theaters and events, which fostered her interest in event production.

Once she finished her studies, she did an internship at a small events company and later at the Euro Starts Tower Hotel. This is when she discovered that her true calling was in event coordination, so she began to look for an opportunity in the industry!

After some time of searching, she finally got a call from WORKOUT EVENTS to fill a vacancy in the Madrid office:

The position they initially offered me was to be at the reception desk, but at the same time they would train me to be an image hostess coordinator. It was a good opportunity to achieve my immersion in the world of events!

Just as the interview began, Patricia already had a job as a flight attendant!

As an anecdote, he tells us that the day he appeared at WORKOUT, there was a very large project, in which hostesses were needed for an event and due to his experience in the sector, he fit in perfectly.

His path within the company has been marked by constant growth. By coincidence, she began her career at WORKOUT as an image hostess, later she started working as a receptionist, while simultaneously working as a coordinator of the Hotel and Catering Department and supporting other departments (which has allowed her to have an integral vision of the company).

After a while, after proving her worth in event coordination, Patricia was promoted. She left the front desk and became the Image and Hospitality Coordinator.

In his timeline, the promotions did not stop, as he soon became Head of the Image Department. And he’s going for more!

After 6 years with the company, Patricia feels that her efforts have been rewarded with these promotions and her knowledge has expanded by collaborating with the purchasing, labor, etc. departments.

Another point to emphasize in her stay at WORKOUT, has been her complete availability, as she has even been the image of the corporate dossier of image hostesses.

This is the story of the progress of our image manager, but behind this path of promotions there is a hard-working and demanding woman with herself.

The best way to teach is to set an example, so I try to do my job impeccably.

Patricia has a clear premise: “to be a good example” and assures that this is a fundamental part of achieving success, quality and excellence in any field.

And as a person?

She describes herself as a versatile, tenacious, constant, ironic, deep and a bit embarrassing woman… But those of us who know her know that she has reached where she is because of her effort, because she is “practical, structured, empathetic, determined and above all, tenacious!

Let’s meet Patricia Piña, our image hostess coordinator!

You have gone through many positions within Workout, you have been “AZAFATA”, “COORDINATOR” and now RESPONSIBLE for the department of IMAGE MADRID. During these 6 years, what do you consider to have been the strengths that have led you to be where you are?

  • Ability to adapt to different situations and environments “In the world of events” this is important,
  • Being able to react to unforeseen events
  • Constancia
  • Pursuit of excellence “A taste for a job well done”.
  • To always want to keep learning and surpassing myself
  • Empathy. I think it is the most important social skill. Both in work life and in social relationships, we would do better if we practiced it. I also believe it is fundamental in the world of events.
  • Being aware of the importance of image-related positions, I am committed to them and I believe in them! “The most lasting memory for a guest is the treatment they receive at the event they attend.”

I consider the hostess position to be a key position, as they are the people who most easily detect failures in organization or attention. For this reason I try to instill in my team to take care of the small details and to seek excellence in services.

As image manager at WORKOUT What is your next goal and how do you plan to achieve it?

Continue to grow and progress. You never stop acquiring new knowledge.

WORKOUT continues to grow, so I would like to continue growing and projecting my career in parallel with the company.

On a professional level, what characteristics do you value most in the people around you and the image hostesses?

  • Of course, empathy!
  • Working capacity
  • Partnership
  • Humor is fundamental! We spend many hours together.

Doing something you love once a day gives you the energy you need to do those things you don’t like so much . What gives you that energy in your life?

Surrounding myself with the people I love, playing sports and dancing, but since dancing is not always possible, I settle for listening to music.

A book that I read a long time ago and that I liked is the book “Los renglones torcidos de dios” by Torcuato Luca de Tena, in which I read a sentence that marked me “Perhaps true madness is nothing more than wisdom itself, which, tired of discovering the shame of the world, has taken the intelligent resolution of going mad”.
  • Word: PUEDO
  • Hobby: Dancing
  • Music: Latin, black, classical, I like almost everything except indie and heavy music.
  • Artist or group: I don’t have a favorite, but if I had to choose one, it would be Michael Jackson.
